The extra 9 inches gave my long refractor the clearance it needed, and setup was a simple bolt-on job. It feels rock solid under the mount, no wobble even when I'm nudging the focuser. This is exactly the height boost I was after for seated observing.

I was worried my long telescope would hit the tripod legs, but this pier extension gives it plenty of clearance. The 9-inch height feels solid and stable, and it was simple to install. Seeing the whole sky without obstruction is a huge plus for my setup.

The extra 9 inches makes a real difference when I’m standing next to the tripod—no more crouching to peek through the eyepiece. It bolts on solidly with no wobble, even with my longer tube attached, and setup took under five minutes.
