Finally ditched my old broadband filter and tried this 82mm one instead. The difference on sodium and mercury streetlights is night and day, my nebula shots have way more contrast now. Only wish the threads were slightly smoother, but it's a solid buy for the size.

Took this filter out for the first time last night on my 82mm refractor and the reduction in sky glow from streetlights was immediately noticeable. I’ve been using this 82mm filter on my telescope under suburban skies, and it really cuts down the orange glow from streetlights. The image background stays noticeably darker, letting me see fainter deep-sky objects I struggled with before.
