Meade StarNavigator NG 125 Maksutov-Cassegrain - 218006

Got the scope set up in under 15 minutes, which surprised me—the included red-dot finder made aligning it with Jupiter almost too easy. The 125mm aperture really pulls in enough light to make out the cloud bands clearly, even from my moderately light-polluted backyard.

The 125mm aperture is a real step up from my previous scope—I was spotting details on the moon’s terminator that I’d never seen before. Set it up in ten minutes flat, and the computerized mount locked onto stars without a fuss. It’s the quietest telescope setup I’ve owned.

I was honestly skeptical about how the Maksutov-Cassegrain design would hold up at this size, but the 125mm aperture pulls in crisp views of the moon’s craters without any chromatic fringing. The mount feels sturdy enough that I don’t get annoying vibrations every time I touch the focus knob, which
