Celestron PowerSeeker 114 EQ Telescope - 21045

The Moon through the 114mm mirror was crisp enough for me to spot crater rims on the first clear night, and dialing in the EQ mount's slow-motion controls kept Jupiter steady for a good hour. Solid starter scope for the price, even if leveling the tripod takes some patience.

Setting up the equatorial mount was easier than I expected, and the 114mm aperture pulls in enough light to make the Orion Nebula look like a hazy, magical cloud.

I was able to spot Jupiter's four moons and Saturn's rings on my first night out, and the 114mm aperture really pulls in the light. The included eyepieces gave me decent views, though I did have to read the manual a couple times to get the equatorial mount tracking smoothly.
