Pulled Jupiter’s bands and three moons into crisp view on the first clear night; the triplet ED glass really does eliminate that purple fringe I fought with my old scope. The whole setup is surprisingly light for an 80mm, so I actually grabbed it for quick sessions after work.

The focuser is butter-smooth right out of the box, and the triplet ED glass makes stars look like tiny, clean pinpoints instead of fuzzy blobs. I've only had it out two nights, but the moon at 120x was crisp enough to read the terminator line. It's a lightweight grab-and-go that actually delivers on

I was blown away by how sharp the views were on Jupiter’s bands—this 80mm triplet handles false color better than my old achromat. The focuser is smooth and solid, making fine adjustments a breeze.
