Finally got to try it on a nebula from my driveway and the contrast jump was unreal, the background just went black while the gas clouds popped. The 2-inch size threads on smoothly and it's a solid chunk of glass, feels built to last.

Screwed it into my 2-inch diagonal and pointed at the Orion Nebula from my driveway — the core finally popped out of the orange haze, and the dark sky background actually looked black instead of brown. It's not a miracle for faint galaxies, but for emission nebulae it's exactly what I needed.

For backyard viewing under suburban skies, this filter really brings out the contrast on nebulas I could barely see before. The threads are smooth and it fits securely in my focuser. Only knock is the price feels a bit steep for a single piece of glass.
