The Celestron AstroMaster 114EQ Telescope is available here at the best price anywhere. If you're looking to get started with astronomy, this is our favorite choice under $200. Perfect for astronomers of all ages, Celestron's AstroMaster telescopes produce bright, clear images of the Moon, planets, and even objects beyond our Solar System.

You won't believe how easy it is to see the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn with your AstroMaster 114EQ. When used for astronomical viewing, AstroMasters yield breathtaking views of the Moon, Saturn's ring structure, Jupiter's cloud bands and moons, favorite deep sky objects like the Orion Nebula, star clusters, and more.

The Celestron AstroMaster 114 EQ Reflector, in particular, is ideal for the novice skywatcher. It features all-glass optical elements, smooth operating steel tripod mountings with manual motion controls, and coated optics for enhanced image brightness and clarity. The quick-release, no-tool dovetail attachment makes setup a breeze. It's all anchored by a rugged, pre-assembled tripod with 1.25-inch steel tube legs, providing a rigid and stable platform. Finally, a deluxe accessory tray helps you keep track of eyepieces and accessories in the dark.

The included "The Sky" Level 1 planetarium software features a 10,000-object database with star maps and enhanced images. Or download Celestron's free SkyPortal planetarium app for your mobile device with over 100,000 objects. It's your perfect companion for a night of stargazing.

  • The Sky Level 1 planetarium software with 10,000 object database and enhanced images

Motor Drive Accessory Available

The Celestron AstroMaster 114EQ also offers a motor drive accessory (see accessories below). The motor drive allows the telescope to continuously track an object without the need to touch the telescope. The motor drive automatically turns the telescope at a pace to counter the movement of the Earth. This means if you are looking at Jupiter, there is no need to continue to turn the telescope tracking knobs to keep it in your eyepiece for viewing.  With the motor drive, the object you are viewing stays in your eyepiece the entire time. Not intended for children under age 12.

James ★★★★★

Setting up the equatorial mount took me a few tries, but once I locked onto the moon, the craters were incredibly sharp and detailed. The included eyepieces give you a great starting point for exploring the night sky.

Robert ★★★★★

I was able to see Saturn's rings clearly on my first night out, which I didn't expect from a scope in this price range. The 114mm mirror gathers light far better than the smaller models I've used before.

Penelope M. ★★★★★

The equatorial mount took a little practice to align, but once I did, the moon's craters were incredibly sharp through the 20mm eyepiece. For the price, the views are much clearer than I expected from a starter scope.
