Comes with a Motor Drive

Take your Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ to the next level with a motor drive. This included motor allows the telescope to continuously track an object without the need to touch the telescope. The motor drive automatically turns the telescope at a pace to counter the movement of the Earth. This means if you are looking at Jupiter, there is no need to continue to turn the telescope tracking knobs to keep it in your eyepiece for viewing.  With the motor drive, the object you are viewing stays in your eyepiece the entire time.

Isabella I. ★★★★★

The motor drive tracks planets smoothly once I got the polar alignment close, and that 130mm aperture pulls in details on Saturn's rings that my old scope never showed. For a first equatorial mount, it's a lot of fun to learn on.

Ava X. ★★★★★

Setup was easier than I expected, and the motor drive really helps keep objects centered once you find them. The 130mm aperture pulls in enough light to see Saturn’s rings clearly even from my moderately light-polluted backyard.

Benjamin ★★★★★

I was able to clearly make out Jupiter’s bands and four moons on my first clear night out, and the 130mm aperture pulls in so much light that deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula actually have visible detail. The motor drive also made tracking effortless, so I didn’t have to keep nudging the tube
