Celestron Ultima 65 - 45º Angled Spotting Scope w/Smartphone Adapter

Combining the proven Ultima 65 Spotting Scope with their Smartphone Adapter, Celestron has created a complete digiscoping solution perfect for any devotee of the outdoors. This highly portable spotting scope features a 45º viewing angle, high quality fully multi-coated optics, and a versatile zoom eyepiece with 18-55x magnification.

With this convenient adapter, you can now capture images and video instantly using your smartphone. Its solid yet lightweight frame lets you connect any smartphone device to the Ultima's zoom eyepiece, as well as to any eyepiece with a maximum outside diameter of 45 mm. This eyepiece provides an extra magnification boost for impressive views of wildlife and other natural targets, distant objects, and even the Moon at night! Installation involves simply clamping the adapter over the top of the eyepieces and takes only seconds. Your phone is then securely locked in place via tightening knobs. Keep in mind that some large or overly large phone cases (including folio style cases) may have to be taken off in order for the phone to fit in the adapter.

The zoom eyepiece integrated into the Ultima 65 Spotting Scope features an 18x to 55x magnification range. For landscape scanning, lower magnifications work best, while for a thorough, up-close look at smaller objects, a higher magnification is optimal. In addition to the zoom eyepiece, this spotting scope also features a large ergonomically designed rubber focus knob that is easy to turn even while donning gloves. An excellent all-purpose optical instrument, the Ultima 65 is made to offer superb performance in a wide variety of viewing conditions.

Tripod adaptable to enable a range of viewing options, the Ultima 65 secures easily to a stable platform for comfortable viewing at long distances or for extended durations. This spotter also comes with a view-through carrying case that can be left on at all times during use, transport, and when being stored away. Even when the scope is mounted on a tripod, this black nylon case still does not need to come off.

Emily ★★★★★

Spent an afternoon birding and was blown away by how crisp the image stayed even at 45x zoom—the angled eyepiece made sharing views with my kids so much easier. The smartphone adapter lined up perfectly with my phone's camera on the first try, which saved me a ton of fiddling.

Joshua N. ★★★★★

The smartphone adapter clicks on in seconds and lines up perfectly with the eyepiece, so I got crisp shots of a heron across the pond on my first try. The 45-degree angle is a bonus for sharing views with my kids without them crouching.

Kevin ★★★★★

The 45-degree angled eyepiece saves my neck during long stretches of skywatching, and the 65mm lens pulls in way more light than my old pair of binos ever did. Clamping my phone into the included adapter took a minute to line up, but the moon shots came out surprisingly sharp.
