Explore Scientific 9 mm 100° Argon-Purged Waterproof 2" Eyepiece - EPWP1009-01

Explore Scientific 9 mm - 100° Argon-Purged Waterproof 2" Eyepiece

Introducing Explore Scientific's 9mm 100° Eyepiece, the world's first argon-purged waterproof eyepiece. This eyepiece features a 100 degree Apparent Field for optimal astrological views. The body is waterproof and argon-purged, preserving the internal elements, even after long nights of observations. The argon-purged body creates a sealed, dry environment that is impervious to internal fogging and contaminants such as fungus growth in between the lens elements. A waterproof eyepiece is easier to clean, and there is no risk of cleaning solution migrating from the top of the lens and seeping around edges to be trapped in between elements. To ensure a perfect seal, the eyepiece has been tested in one meter of water for 30 minutes.
