iOptron AZ Mount Pro Head

iOptron's new AZ Mount Pro Head uses "level and go" technology. Its smooth set up routing uses an integrated precision level indicator to easily level the mount and turn the power on. This proficient computerized mount will handle everything from there. The iOptron AZ Mount Pro calculates its position as well as telescope orientation by engaging the on board 32 channel GPS receiver and incorporated position and angular detection sensors. The mount will then automatically slew the device to an easily detectable bright night sky object. The only thing the operator needs to do is confirm that the object is centered in order to trigger tracking and GoTo capabilities.

Even without a perfectly flat tripod, the integrated level indicator made alignment incredibly quick on my first try. Setup routing guided me smoothly through the steps, and I was observing within minutes. This really simplifies backyard astronomy.

The level indicator isn't just a gimmick—get the bubble centered and the mount is practically ready to go, which saves me a ton of time at dark sites. Setup feels genuinely smooth and the head locks down firmly once everything's in place.

    Jacob K. ★★★★★

The integrated precision level indicator made setup genuinely painless—I had the head leveled and locked in under two minutes. The "level and go" routing is as smooth as advertised, and it holds my scope rock-steady throughout the session. A real time-saver for anyone tired of fiddling with bubble l
