Meade 6" LX85 ACF Optical Tube Assembly - 217024

Meade LX85 6" ACF Telescope

Meade's top-performing f/10 Advanced Coma-Free Optics just got even better with the addition of this LX85-ACF optical tube assembly. The LX85-ACF's unique optical design reveals coma-free, pinpoint star images as well as a flat field that is integral for astrophotographers and observatories alike. The Meade ACF OTA also minimizes astigmatism and eliminates diffractions spikes found in classical RC telescopes. No competing Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope can make those claims. It is also easy to attach this OTA to any number of mounts using the Vixen-style dovetail.

The LX85-ACF optical tube assembly is ideal for the seasoned visual astronomer and astrophotographers looking to take their craft to the next level. With Ultra High Transmission Coatings (UTHC), this scope shows brighter star clusters, more fine detail in nebulae, and greater surface features on planets. When it comes to industry-leading optics, depth of features, and computerized operation, the LX85-ACF is the best all-around telescope value you can find.

To start you off right, Meade is including two 1.25" eyepieces (a 26 mm and a 9 mm Super Plossl) as well as an 8 X 50 optical finder with the LX85 package. Your new telescope will be ready for observing right out of the box!
