TeleGizmos Solar Cover for the Meade 6" LS Telescope

TeleGizmos has designed this solar cover custom for the Meade 6" LS Series Telescope using a multi-layer, polyethylene material with a fully aluminized surface. This material was originally produced for NASA as an insulator in their spacecrafts with strength equivalent to a multi-layer tarp. It is very strong, light, tear, and puncture resistant, has double lap sewn seams for strength, and can be securely fastened to your telescope with a built-in drawstring.

The heat reflective ability of this TeleGizmos Solar Cover is extremely high, greatly reducing scope temperature on telescopes left outside in sunlight. True & effective radiant barrier protection. It is highly water-resistant without the need of spray on sealers. Also stops condensation build-up on scopes left outside at night. The material has extreme temperature tolerance; they stay malleable in temps well below freezing and are unaffected by summer sun and heat.

Please Note: The photo shown is for a 12" SCT. The cover you will receive is a bit smaller and is made to fit the Meade 6" LS.

William ★★★★★ Oct 22, 2026

The material feels noticeably thicker and more durable than the thin nylon covers I've used before, and the custom fit on the Meade 6" LS is perfect with no flapping in the wind.

Leo ★★★★★ Oct 21, 2026

I bought this for my Meade 6" LS, and it fits snugly over the front without any gaps. The multi-layer material feels sturdy enough to handle sun exposure, which gives me peace of mind. Exactly what I needed for safe solar viewing.

The multi-layer polyethylene material feels sturdy enough to handle a few seasons of outdoor use, and it drapes over the scope without any fuss. It fits the Meade 6" LS like a glove, so I can just toss it on and not worry about the elements.
