TeleVue 1.25" 11mm Plossl Eyepiece

The Tele Vue 11 mm Plossl eyepiece is fully multi-coated using high-index glass for optimal contrast and light transmission. Diffraction limited "on-axis" performance is a given with all Tele Vue Plossl eyepieces. Using more expensive high-index glasses to reduce astigmatism and lateral color at the field's edge, Tele Vue Plössl eyepieces deliver sharper images than any other brand of 4 or 5-element "Plossl" or Orthoscopic design. Tele Vue Plössl eyepieces also feature full multi-coatings for greatest light transmission and contrast. Blackened lens edges and internal anti-reflection threads tweak the last bit of contrast for maximum image detail.

Matthew ★★★★★

The multi-coating on this 11mm Plossl really pulls out crisp detail on Jupiter's bands. For the price, the contrast and on-axis sharpness are a clear step up from my previous eyepieces.

Timothy ★★★★★

After years of cheap eyepieces I finally splurged on this and the difference is immediate—the high-index glass makes stars look like pinpoints instead of fuzzy blobs. Even my 8-inch dob shows crisp detail on the moon's terminator.

Timothy ★★★★★

The contrast on Jupiter's bands is noticeably sharper than what I got with my old kit eyepiece, and the multi-coating really pulls in the light even on a hazy night. I've been using it on the Moon and a few double stars, and the on-axis sharpness is exactly what I hoped for.
