Celestron Cometron 114AZ Reflector Telescope - 21079

The 114mm parabolic mirror really pulls in enough light to clearly see a comet's tail, which was exactly what I was hoping for. I had it set up and focused in about ten minutes right in my backyard. For the price, this is a fantastic entry-level scope that doesn't feel cheap.

I was a little worried about setting it up, but the included finderscope made aligning on the moon a breeze. The first clear night I spotted a comet's tail, and the 114mm mirror gathered enough light to make the fuzzball pop.

The 114mm parabolic mirror pulled in Jupiter’s bands clearly on the first clear night, even from my light-polluted backyard. Setup took maybe twenty minutes, and the azimuth mount glides smoothly enough for tracking once you get the hang of it.
