Celestron PowerSeeker 80 EQ Telescope - 21048

The equatorial mount took me an afternoon to learn, but once I aligned it, tracking Saturn was effortless. Seeing its rings clearly on the first clear night made all that setup worth it.

The EQ mount felt intimidating at first, but the slow-motion control rods made tracking Jupiter’s moons surprisingly intuitive. I caught a crisp view of Saturn’s rings on my second night out, and the 80mm aperture handled it beautifully.

I was amazed at how clearly I could see Saturn’s rings on the first clear night—the 80mm aperture really pulls in enough light for a beginner scope. Set-up took about 20 minutes following the manual, and the slow-motion controls on the German mount make tracking the moon feel smooth.
