I was able to set up the EQ3 mount and have it tracking stars within my first hour of use, which made finding Saturn incredibly easy. The included eyepieces gave a sharp enough view of its rings to keep me looking for half an hour straight.

The 114mm mirror gathers plenty of light to see Jupiter's bands clearly even from my suburban backyard. Setting up the equatorial mount took a bit of patience the first time, but once balanced it tracks objects steadily for long viewing sessions.

I was worried about collimation, but the 114mm parabolic mirror delivered crisp views of Jupiter's bands and four moons on my first clear night. The 1.25-inch eyepieces included are decent starters, and the EQ3 mount tracked smoothly enough for me to share the view with my kids.
