The focuser is buttery smooth and holds my camera rig without a hint of sag, which is rare at this price point. First light on the Orion nebula showed crisp, pinpoint stars edge-to-edge with zero chromatic aberration. It's a serious piece of glass.

I’ve been shooting with this scope for a few weeks now, and the color correction from the triplet air-spaced lens is noticeably better than my previous doublet. It holds focus across the entire frame, which makes processing my astro images much easier.

The focus on the triplet air-spaced lens design was immediately obvious in my first test shots — stars are pin-sharp across the entire frame, not just the center. I spent a whole night dialing in focus with the dual-speed rack-and-pinion, and it held perfectly even with a hefty camera rig attached.
